My father is an unknown hero. Not unknown to me, but unknown to the country he loves and served. This page introduces you to this amazing man:
When my Dad had what was thought to be just a stroke and seizure (as if there are “just” strokes and seizures) that ultimately turned into a mass located in his brain that needed to be removed surgically, I did what I often wanted to do: I sat down and had my Dad retell all the stories of his time as a 20-year Air Force pilot. They were stories I had heard before, but never in this setting and never with this importance of ensuring his legacy was not lost, that his sacrifice for country was remembered. These are the stories, as told by my hero who lived them.
This website is dedicated to my Dad, my hero and the first man in my life. A daddy’s girl from day one, my father’s service to his country made him both the most important person in my life as a child and someone who was often absent from our family physically. My life was immeasurably molded by his guidance, his intelligence, his sarcasm and his love.
